James is a warm and compassionate psychologist who believes in taking a flexible and collaborative treatment approach that is client-centred and reflects the unique goals and values of each individual. He provides an evidence-based approach to treatment utilising strategies based in cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and interpersonal psychotherapy. His background of working in both public and private sectors has provided him with experience in working with a broad range of clients with diverse backgrounds and clinical presentations.

James holds particular interest in the treatment of challenges arising from adjustment to a variety of health conditions, stress management, treatment of sleep disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.
